Is it possible to install Windows 2007 Word on my Windows XP laptop?

I want to install Windows 2007 Word on my 6-year-old Windows XP laptop without upgrading to Vista. Is it possible to purchase only Word, and nothing else? I don’t need Windows Excel or anything else.

Office 2007 does run on Windows XP, and it appears you can buy Word by itself. Make sure your hardware (RAM in particular) will handle Word 2007.
